Features

DanceWizard has a number of features that help simplify the cuer’s job.

DanceMaster Compatibility

DanceWizard can use your existing DanceMaster dance database without any conversions required.

New features that require changes to the database are done without any impact to your running DanceMaster, should you choose to do so.

Play Window Playlist

Your playlist is available when playing a dance. Dances can be moved around in the playlist and dances played by double clicking the dance.

This provides a convenient way to both see what you have planned as well as modify the order depending on the dancers that are present.

Clicking the Details checkbox displays additional information about each dance.

Dance Videos

Dance videos can be added to your dances.

While playing the video you can slow it down or speed it up, and you can zoom in or out. The cue card and cue sheet are also available to view.

Videos provide an easy way to verify footwork and orientations for a dance.

Playlist Features

The playlist displays the total number of dances and elapsed time. Dances are easily added by drag and drop.

Section headers and dividers can be added to separate dances, and dances in the list can be marked as teaches or reviews.

The playlist can be printed or exported to multiple formats.

Portable DanceWizard

DanceWizard can be installed on a USB drive.

Your USB drive, containing all of your dances, can be used with a loaner laptop to cue your dances if your laptop is lost or damaged.

No changes are made to the loaner laptop.

Remote Control Configuration

Changes to your remote control settings are done simply by editing the settings and selecting the matching house and unit code settings.

Since the remote occasionally sends the same command multiple times you can adjust the lockout time during which the duplicate command is ignored.

Dance Module Import

Dances can be viewed and played before import.

If the dance matches one of your dances you can view the changes that would be done before importing the dance.

You can make changes to any of the dance's information before importing the dance.

Multiple dances can be imported with a single click, enabling module export/import as a way of backing up all of your dances and restoring them to a new database.

Dance History

Dances can be filtered based on venue, dates, rhythm, phase, and other attributes.

Your playlist is visible and dances can be dragged from the history to the playlist.

The venue of a history record can be changed by right clicking and selecting the appropriate option.

Break Timer

A break timer is available to alert dancers when a break is over.

The alarm sound can be an audio file, the current play window dance or the next dance in the playlist.

Volume can be set to increase over time after the alarm triggers.

Fixes Needed Tracking

Press the Fix button while a dance is playing to remember the location within the dance that needs to be fixed.

This provides a convenient way to help remember what in the dance needs to be fixed.

Click an entry in the fixes needed list to reposition the dance and cue card to that spot.
